Saint Vitas’ Dance and Music Weekend (7th & 8th September 2013)

Pied tituber droitA weekend of classes on diverse aspects of Medieval and Renaissance Dancing and Music.
Fully catered, including morning and afternoon teas, lunches and a feast
and ball from 6pm Saturday night. Classes run from 10am to 5pm Saturday, 10am to 3pm Sunday.

Children price for 6-17 years.  Add $5 per person for non-members, $3 per person if not booked by 3rd of September.

Dance: A Different Warm-up and Stretch Session, with a bit of Rufty Tufty, with Helouys le Poer (Bring a yoga mat if you have one. There will also be some provided).
Music: Lant and Winchester Rounds, with Crispin Sexi.

11am
Dance: Some 15th Century Italian Dances – Belfiore, Leoncello and possibly Colonesse, with Collette de Harcourt.
Music: Breathing, with Ailis inghean Mheadhbha

Noon
Dance: Gloria d’Amore (a Cascarda), with Joanna of the Beechwoods.
Music: Ave Maria from the Red Book of Montserrat, with Crispin Sexi

1pm Lunch

Dance: The Old Mole, a 3 couple English Country Dance, with Thurstan.
Music: Renaissance Flutes, with Ailis inghean Mheadhbha

3pm
Dance: Leggiadria d’Amore, a 3 person dance from Il Ballarino, with Joanna of the Beechwoods.

4pm
Dance: Easy English Country Dance, with Brian le faucheer
Music: Ball Music Practice

6pm until late: BALL and Itallian Sidetable Supper

SUNDAY

10am
Dance: St Martins, 2 couple English Country Dance, with Joanna of the Beechwoods.
Music: Writing Gregorian Chant, with Crispin Sexi

11am
Dance: A dance class with Joanna’s teacher, Estelle Canning.
Music: Adding Duplum Above Chant, with Crispin Sexi

Noon
Dance: To Be Advised.
Music: Playing / Singing Your New Piece of Music

1pm Lunch

2pm
Dance: How to teach dance – a workshop.  Based principally on Mistress Janelyn of Fenmeres work. For people teaching dance, and those wishing to teach dance, as well for those who dance. With Brian le faucheer.
