From 25-27 November 2016 the Barony of Politarchopolis will host one of Lochac’s premier fighting events with Fields of Gold 6 held at the Bungendore Showground in Bungendore, NSW.
Evoking the meeting of two great renaissance nations, pick your side – French or English – and gain glory!
This full weekend of tournaments will include heavy armoured, rapier, cut & thrust and archery skill at arms. Show your prowess in as many disciplines as you can for the chance to win the title of Champion d’Or.
Apart from the spectacle of the tournament there will also be a chance for the magnificent artisans of the Kingdom to showcase their fine works with a competition simply themed ‘Something Gold’. As it sounds, the entry simply needs to have an element of something ‘gold’. That is it. So it could be golden ale, gold embroidery, illumination etc. Be imaginative as you wish. Documentation is encouraged. Other competitions will be announced in the lead up to the event.
All tournaments and competitions will add points for the side you have given your temporary allegiance to.
To expand our skills during this time of peace, there will be classes running throughout the weekend.
On Saturday night the Feast of the Golden Gryphon will be open to 80 people. The Bold Gryphon Tavern will be open for the whole weekend and on Saturday night will serve those that either miss out on, or would rather eat at the Tavern than partake of, the delights of the Feast.
The event is fully catered from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch, and to cap it all, on Saturday night a feast to snare all of the senses.
