Introduction to Armoured Combat Course
What: A beginner friendly introduction and condensed instruction for those interested in Armoured Combat. Held over one weekend, with equipment provided.
When: 8th & 9th November 2025 – Saturday & Sunday – 9am to 5pm

Cost: $70 workshop fee per non-member – includes $10 non-member insurance ($60 for SCA Members) paid in advance.

About Introduction to Armoured Combat Course:
The Barony of Politarchopolis, which is the Canberra branch of the Society for Creative Anarchonism (SCA), is hosting an Introduction workshop to Armour Combat under SCA rules. This will be held over two days, and involves practical instruction and physical activity involving loaned SCA approved equipment.
It will cover the core principles of basic sword and shield for SCA tournament combat, and is suitable for all skill and experience levels. There will be opportunity to try combat in armour with an experienced authorised combatant on the 2nd day, time and loaner equipment permitting.
Light refreshments will be made available, and there will be a one (1) hour lunch break each day. There are food options nearby at the Ainslie Shops, situated a short five (5) minute walk away.
Participation requires on the day requires confirmation of payment being recieved. We will also maintain a waiting list. Those on the waiting list will also be contacted when future introduction workshops are run, if there is sufficient numbers interested.
