A Coronation on Fields of Gold

Fields of Gold (FoG) is an annual SCA event run in the Barony of Politarchopolis (Canberra). It is a fully catered camping event. This year will run from Friday night the 13th of November 2026, to the afternoon of Sunday the 15th of November 2026.

FoG traditionally has multiple competitions from all parts of the SCA. These range from fighting, archery, equestrian, and arts and the science.

People are encouraged to enter as many competitions as possible. The person who gets the most points across all events, is awarded the grand prize and is named the Champs d’Or.

For FoG XIV, we are honoured to host the final court of King Aonghus mac Griogair mhic Raghnaill and Queen Ginevra Lucia di Namoraza; and the investiture and first courts of their Heirs.

Our usual sumptuous feast will reach dizzying heights of delectation. Our artisans, musicians and players will be inspired to produce fresh and exciting creations. Our combatants will be thrilled by the chance to prove themselves before Lochac royalty.

  • 5.30pm Royal Court & some entertainment if time allows
  • 6.30pm Feast (2 courses)
  • 8pm (optional) Royal Court, followed by dessert
  • 9pm: Pyrite Theatre
