A feast for all senses

Woden Uniting Church 40 Gillies street, Curtin, ACT, 2606

Are you looking for a cosy winter feast with live entertainment? Looking for an opportunity to perform?

Come and join us at the Feast for All Senses! At this feast, we’ll have a stage open to performers for most of the night, so that singers, storytellers, puppeteers, players, poets, and more can share their favourite pieces for us all to enjoy.

Watch and listen to bards of all kinds, sing along with some classics, chat with friends in the intervals, and maybe even take the stage yourself, all while savouring a hearty tavern feast.

On a Saturday night in the dark of the year,
Gather all to our feast for a night of good cheer.
With performances merry, and full bowls and cups,
You'd be sad if you missed it - so come on, sign up!

The night is for minstrels and poets and bards,
Whose music and tales will touch many a heart,
But no song is complete without someone to hear,
So along with your bowl, bring a listening ear.

Bring your poems, your puppets, your plays and your songs,
Bring your stories and dances - just nothing too long.
Five minutes or less is the time that you've got,
It seems not much for some, but for others, a lot.

Entertainment alone is not all of our aim,
This night is for learners, we proudly proclaim.
To help everyone grow is the heart of our goal,
So we celebrate all who are learning their role.

Join us August the 8th - it's a Saturday night -
With lanterns, loud laughter, and hearts burning bright,
Bring your best garb and gather - come one and come all! -
And meet us that evening at Woden Uniting Church Hall.

(For prosaic details beyond scope of rhyme,
See the info below - it won't take much more time.
As we near the event, we'll add menu and more;
You can already book, which we know you'll adore.)
