Market day style get-together with games, tournaments, and a costume competition to celebrate our Baroness’s birthday.
BYO style picnic.
Nibbles will be available along with drinks.
‘Shining helm’ competition
To tie into the birthday theme, there will be a “fancy dress” award for the combatants who are voted the best dressed on the day!
So dress pretty and repair that fighting gear!
This included both Heavies and Fencers.
Arts and Sciences competition
An arts and Science competition based on “spring” will also be held.
Tournaments
Heavy
The tournaments are designed for something fun and to tie into the birthday theme of the event.
Heavy fighters will be bear-pitted on a bridge like the famous warrior of Stamford Bridge. This time, they will be protecting the vast birthday present hoard rather than an invading army.
Fencing
The fencers will fight a round robin with a fun birthday twist!
Please bring all your fun fencing toys! you never know what you might need to use on the day.
If you have any fencing weapons or offhand items you’re happy for others to use, that will be greatly appreciated as well.
